Senior Sales Director – East
Our client is a fast-growing commerce media platform that uses consumer insights and location data to help brands increase awareness, drive foot traffic to stores, and improve business outcomes. Their proprietary technology delivers local
advertising and insights at scale while meeting some of the highest user-privacy standards in the industry.
This role reports to the VP of Sales, East, and will manage 2 direct reports (Account Executives/Sellers), with 4–6 indirect reports across the broader sales team.
Responsibilities:
1. Business Development
- Develop new business and build a portfolio of new clients within the Eastern territory
- Schedule and conduct meetings with key agency and brand decision-makers
- Meet and exceed pre-determined quarterly sales goals
- Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and retention
- Act as a team player and client advocate at all times
2. Sales
- Meet with key brand decision-makers and agencies to demonstrate the value of the company's technology over competitive or current solutions
- Own the sales cycle — from lead generation through closure and renewal
- Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Collaborate with account management and trading teams to upsell clients
- Must have strong negotiation skills
3. Reporting
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM profile (Salesforce proficiency a plus)
- Share weekly pipeline updates with team and management
4. CRM
- Stay present and in regular touch with clients
- Maintain account and opportunity forecasting within the CRM
- Organize ROI-focused client entertainment activities
Your Profile:
- Undergraduate degree required
- 4–5 years of experience at an ad agency, publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, DSP, or other online advertising roles — mobile advertising a plus
- Established relationships with advertising agencies or brands a must
- Superior professionalism and business acumen
- Solution-oriented
- Self-starter — able to self-motivate and establish new business
- Exceptional organization, presentation, and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated ability to manage change and work as part of a team
- Strong existing relationships at top Tier 1, Tier 2, and independent agencies and brands
- Adtech/digital media experience across mobile, OOH, and CTV omni-channel required
Location: New York, Hybrid (3–4 days/week in-office)
Compensation: Target base of $140–160k, with 2x OTE variable compensation (see flag below on conflicting comp figures)
